I am doing a clean install including deleting the regestry entries. It took about 45 min. just to delete the contents of the Cache_DB folder. Maybe I need to clean that out a bit more often.

I thought THIS POST by Labersack in the XDA forum was an excellent approach to trimming \Cache_DB, particularly when you want to retain notes and waypoints. I haven't tried the app he recommends, but his approach makes sense.

I had skimed this post before, but now that I am paying attention, that is realy cool. The 45min. I quoted was just the time it took windows to delete the files. I had way too many.
