Site Updates = GCzII temp broken
On 02 June 2010 at approx 1PM PDT, Groundspeak will be doing maintanence. They didn't mention updates, but if there are, GCzII may be down untill TOM has a chance to update. So, start downloading all the caches you may need in the next week...

Re: Site Updates = GCzII temp broken
It has been confirmed that GCzII is now broken. Hopefully you all headed the warning and downloaded all the caches you would need for the next week or so. I know that I downloaded a bunch in the last couple of days.

How Ironic!
Just downloaded GCzII for the first time and spent ages trying to get it to work. Seems like it's a global issue! Thanks for letting us know.
Having never down Geocaching this way before (old fashioned Garmin and paper map up to this point) I have a question: How frequent are these down times and how long do they normally last?

Re: Site Updates = GCzII temp broken
The last time was Easter. That one lasted longer than normal. It is realy about Tom's personal/buisness schedule, when he has time to do the update. I think that we are getting a little better at notifying Tom when this happens.
Anyway, trust me, it is definatly worth the wait!! For now, if you are a primium member, you can import GPX files from your pocket quaries. If not, what I have been doing (if I didn't have the caches saved in GCzII already) is download a .loc file and import that into BasicGPS.

Re: Site Updates = GCzII temp broken
Well for now, GateCacher is up and running. Give that a try until GCzII gets back up.
