Major Bug: Static Map Scaling
I am using the version 0.2.35.42. There appears to be an error in the scaling of the Static Maps. When I am near the edge of the Static map, my location is way off (sometimes as much as a city block). As I approch the center of the map (the cache location),it gets more and more accuriate. This seems to me to be the result of an incorect scale.

Re: Major Bug: Static Map Scaling
At first: you are using an old version
Then: as you may have noticed, even on Google Maps the Pictures and the maps do not match. Maybe the inconsistency is coming from google itself: They did not calibrate the images to actual GPS positions...

That was actualy a copy past from the xda forum. I am now using 0.2.35.43, and have the same issue. It occures everywere, even in places where google maps works great. I am the only guy with this problem? Maybe I have messed something up in the registries or something?

Re: Major Bug: Static Map Scaling
I did never use GMaps on my mobile, so i can't compare.
Maybe Google compensates for earths curvature while GCz does not? I'm just guessing...
I have noticed GCz's maps to be inaccurate as well, but i did never see the inaccuracy change from edge to center. But i didn't look for this, either: I rarely use the maps, just to get an idea where to drive or walk.

I didn't notice that bug but a similar problem:
When you're using the groundspeak application for google-earth, caches shown on the map can have a "mooving" position.

Can't say I've had, seen or heard of this problem before, so I have to assume it is specific to your setup.
Have you tried changing the static map settings Menu > Options > Static Map Settings, to see if that makes a difference? Or try a clean reinstall of GCzII.

Re: Major Bug: Static Map Scaling
I just did a clean install, including deleting the regestry entries. Didn't help. Seems realy odd that I have this issue and no one else.
